Moscow Economic Forum and BRICS Role in Developing Transport Corridors
The Moscow Economic Forum, as an international platform, has been held annually over the past 11 years. More than 200 events have been organized so far, with the participation of over 10,000 attendees from 35 countries. The main objectives of the forum include exploring investment opportunities in Russia, discussing economic policies, networking opportunities, and presenting new proposals and initiatives in economic and commercial sectors.
Session on 14–15 Farvardin 1403
The Moscow Economic Forum was held on 14–15 Farvardin 1403 (April 3–4, 2024), focusing on the following topics:
- Transport corridors aimed at promoting economic development
- Infrastructure corridors to enhance international economic relations, considering benefits and conflicts
- Eurasian infrastructure connectivity as a key geopolitical factor
- Transport and geostrategy for creating intercontinental logistic routes and addressing political instability
BRICS Representatives’ Participation
Following prior coordination, a representative from the Center for Transformation and Progress Cooperation, together with a representative from the National Development Fund, was sent to Moscow. These representatives actively participated in specialized sessions, particularly the dedicated BRICS session, delivering impactful speeches on transport. They emphasized the North–South corridor as one of the cost-effective, safe, and economic transport routes.
