China–BRICS Support Policies for Scientific, Innovation, and Industrial Development
China–BRICS Special Support Policies for scientific, innovation, and industrial participation (SIIP) consist of a comprehensive set of financial incentives and policy measures designed to implement BRICS sub-projects within the framework of the Xiamen municipal science and technology program. These supports are targeted to facilitate bilateral and multilateral projects among BRICS member countries and accelerate the flow of innovation and technology across members.
Policy and Financial Support
This support framework includes assistance for the execution of BRICS innovation collaboration projects, commercialization of “international intergovernmental scientific and technological innovation cooperation” initiatives, as well as backing for innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and acceleration programs. The objective is to strengthen scientific connections, technology exchange, and the innovative capacity of member countries.
Events and Acceleration Programs
Acceleration programs, innovation competitions, and scientific and entrepreneurial events serve as additional support mechanisms, providing platforms for presenting technological projects, attracting investment, and fostering collaboration among BRICS members.
BRICS 2 Billion Yuan Innovation Fund
To enhance the joint flow of innovation, the BRICS Innovation Fund has been established with a total budget of 2 billion yuan. Its primary mission is to support the deployment and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements among BRICS member countries.
