Announcement Of Pardis Technology Park Cooperation With BRICS
In the second presentation of the workshop, Mr. Engineer Saffari-Nia, President of Pardis Technology Park, outlined the park’s capacities and capabilities. He emphasized the importance of BRICS member countries and described this framework as an effective institutional platform for countering Western unilateralism in the field of technology and for promoting balanced development among member states.
Mr. Saffari-Nia announced the readiness of Pardis Technology Park, as Iran’s International Innovation Zone established under a government resolution, to develop a complete technology and innovation investment chain. This includes attracting Iranian and international experts and establishing a leading foreign investment hub in key sectors such as healthcare, microelectronics, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and financial technologies.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is obligated to leverage the capacities of this park in regional and international negotiations and treaties. This effort aims to enhance international cooperation in science and technology and to promote the participation of private-sector knowledge-based and innovative companies in multilateral BRICS collaborations. Mr. Saffari-Nia also provided a brief introduction to Pardis Technology Park and described Iran’s membership in BRICS as a valuable opportunity.
Introduction To Pardis Technology Park
Pardis Technology Park began its activities in 2001 and, as of 2024, has been officially recognized as an International Innovation Zone. The park covers an operational area of more than 470 hectares and hosts over 500 knowledge-based companies, with plans to expand its area to 1,000 hectares. With more than 9,000 specialized professionals and exports of technological products to nearly 60 countries worldwide, the park possesses significant international capacity.
Activities And Achievements Of Pardis Technology Park
- Establishment of the National Technology Exchange Network of Iran
- Creation of an Innovation Acceleration Center
- Organization of thirteen editions of the International Innovation and Technology Exhibition
- Organization of the first edition of the Technology Olympiad
Pardis Technology Park is also active at the international level. Its international initiatives include the establishment of a technology exchange network among eight Islamic countries, which it managed for ten years, as well as the organization of the Mustafa Prize to honor outstanding scientists from the Islamic world. These experiences provide a strong foundation for developing similar cooperation mechanisms within the BRICS framework.
