The Sixth Meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Oceanography and Polar Science was held in Murmansk, Russia, from June 25 to 29, 2024. Interestingly, with the coordination made by the Center of Progress and Development (CPDI) , representatives from the Center, the Advisory Council for Technology and Innovation Cooperation, and the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences (affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology) were introduced to attend the meeting. The representative of the Advisory Council and the Institute participated in person, and the representative of the Center participated in the meeting online. The main topics of discussion at this event focused on the study and use of the world’s ocean resources, the impact on the water and weather system, and the condition of coastal areas.
