On 23 August 2023, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the 15th BRICS Summit that “China will launch the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park for the New Era to support the application of innovative achievements.”
The China-BRICS Science and Innovation Park for the New Era (hereafter referred to as the “China-BRICS Incubation Center”) was officially unveiled in the city of Xiamen on 16 December 2023, marking the beginning of its construction.
The planning of the China-BRICS Science, Innovation, and Industry Park for the New Era is based on the “1+2+N” model, which includes:
In addition, programs are planned to establish branches in BRICS member and partner countries, as well as in other emerging markets and developing countries, depending on cooperation needs. These initiatives will be discussed in future posts.
