Launch of the BRICS Industrial Innovation Center

With the aim of driving technological transformation and strengthening industrial cooperation among BRICS member and partner countries, the BRICS Industrial Skills Center was officially launched at the headquarters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna. The center brings together a multilateral network of national industrial centers from BRICS countries and provides a platform to enhance international exchange of technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

The core focus of the center lies in key areas such as process digitalization, industrial automation, artificial intelligence, smart logistics, and green technologies. It supports small and medium-sized enterprises by enabling them to leverage advanced technologies, access global markets, and enhance their competitiveness.

Meanwhile, BRICS Plus countries, accounting for more than 40 percent of the world’s population and approximately 35 percent of global GDP, are now well positioned to assume global leadership in inclusive and sustainable industrial growth. In this context, Russia and China have played a leading role in establishing and managing the center through the mobilization of strategic resources and comprehensive planning, while Brazil and other members have committed to strengthening innovation in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, green industries, and sustainable manufacturing.

This technological initiative not only enhances industrial capacities but also facilitates sustainable economic development, job creation, and the reduction of technological gaps among member and partner countries, thereby consolidating BRICS’ position as a global hub for innovation and industrial growth.
