The Eighth Meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Information and Communication Technologies and High-Performance Computing was held on September 20–21, 2024, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. During the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to the collective growth and development of the BRICS association.
In light of the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies and their significance for future innovations, participants agreed to revise the name of the Working Group to the “BRICS Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing.”
Furthermore, the participants emphasized the importance of several key research areas, including:
Supercomputing programming methods for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing;
Large language models;
Applications utilizing artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
