The Fifth Meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Biotechnology and Biomedicine, focusing on Human Health and Neuroscience, was held on June 24–25, 2024, in Moscow.
With the coordination of the Center of Progress and Development of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, representatives from Tarbiat Modares University, the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB), and the Organizational for Development of international Science and Technology Cooperation participated in this meeting.
During the event, reports were presented on the unique characteristics of BRICS member countries and the initiatives undertaken by each member. In addition, a side session was held focusing on the development of vaccines and pharmaceuticals among BRICS countries, reflecting collaborative programs and national approaches of member states in the pharmaceutical industry.
